Petite style is obviously really important to you and your audience on social media, how do you find shopping for style? Have you seen the industry shift towards becoming more inclusive at all?
Honestly, I still think there is a very limited selection from the mass market in terms of inclusivity in footwear, particularly petite boots - clothing is a lot easier than it used to be and I don’t find as many limitations to shopping for my size. Until I discovered DuoBoots, it was almost impossible for me to find footwear that is tailored to the more mid-size and petite figure. This is why it’s so, so exciting that DuoBoots offer such an amazing range of inclusive sizes in terms of size and height! I never feel limited by their choices of footwear and can finally express myself in something that fits absolutely perfectly!
What does a typical day in the life of Petite Ellie look like?
I am such a homebody so any day that is spent the majority at my home is a good day - that being said I get so many amazing opportunities to visit amazing places and expand my horizons which I am so grateful for!
I am an early riser so most days I’m up before 6 am and always try to catch the sunrise while I am journalling and planning for my day. I try to give myself at least half an hour to move in the mornings - so whether that’s a run, a workout or even just a walk in my local forest.
It’s then all about the content - whether I am shooting that day, filming, vlogging, styling, or simply editing all of the above. I am so so grateful to have the freedom I do to create whatever makes my heart warm in that day. Then it’s onto engagement - I am so huge with engaging with my audience because they are the reason I get to do what I do. Chatting to them, and replying to comments and messages in my DM’s is something I am so strict with myself to keep on top of. I try not to let a single comment, message, or DM pass me by without a reply because it’s those relationships that I value so highly with my audience. That’s why we have such an amazing bond and I couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing, supportive, and loyal community I’ve built.
Your style is very classic and timeless, attributes that are central to our design signature at DuoBoots. What are 3 pieces you couldn’t live without in your capsule wardrobe?
You’re so right, I really value classic and timeless pieces over more trend-led items. So of course a good pair of knee-high boots is vital in my capsule wardrobe! They can be dressed up or down, styled with so many different pieces in my wardrobe and when you find a pair that fit perfectly, they’ll last you a lifetime!
I also couldn’t live without a classic trench - I feel like they just transcend time and can be styled in so many different seasons, in so many different ways, and with so many different outfits!
And lastly, a good quality cross-body bag. Investing in a gorgeous handbag is vital in a capsule wardrobe because if you prioritise craftsmanship and a timeless style, they can be worn with everything you own and styled in so so many different ways.
Knee-high boots are set to remain an integral component as we head into Spring and Summer. How will you be styling yours?
My audience will know that I LIVE in gorgeous dresses in summer. So of course, I’ll be styling up my favourite pairs of boots with my favourite dresses. I adore the more casual and country aesthetic that it gives.
