With the weather having been pretty miserable for the last couple of months we all understand the importance of having appropriate footwear to face the day. Not only that but protecting the footwear you currently own is equally as important. Read on to discover the best boots for you as well as tips and tricks that you can use to keep your boots keeping your feet comfortable for longer!

Boot Protection

Protect your boots against the elements by using a good quality protective spray. At DuoBoots we don’t advertise our boots as waterproof - instead they are water resistant. This means that a little water won’t hurt them but you need to be wise if walking through a downpour. Although we wouldn’t recommend taking them out into the worst that mother nature has to offer, protective spray can be a great help with this. The right spray will act as a repellent against any unfavourable winter weather working on both leather and suede boots to stop water from penetrating the shoe allowing it to be easily cleaned.

Wetter Weather

As previously mentioned none of our DuoBoots are not 100% waterproof however there are some styles we would recommend more than others for braving the harsh winter weather. The Jeane boot is our take on the traditional riding boot. Made with both suede and calf leather sitting on a sturdy tread sole that is optimal for outdoor wear, Jeane is a perfect choice for outdoor lovers.

Frostier Conditions

Embrace the frostier temperatures with the elegance of a knee high leather boot. Whether you opt for a casual look by tucking jeans into boots or prefer a touch of glamour by pairing them with a dress, knee high boots guarantee both style and warmth without compromise. Step confidently into the new year wearing our bestselling Haltham leather boot, ensuring you stay out of the cold. Find out how to style your boots in our guide.

Changing of the Seasons

It may seem like a distant memory now but there will be a time when the sun starts rising early and the temperature reaches the double digits. Not many people think of boots as a good choice when the temperature starts to rise, however some styles can work as great transitional pieces as we go into the summer. The Gwen ankle boot can be perfectly paired with a bohemian style summer dress to enjoy those gorgeous summer nights as well as its sister the Saffron shoe - the knee high version.
